SEPTEMBER MARKET REPORT

Fall has settled in in Whistler and the summer activities will come to an end this weekend with the closure of the bike park and golf courses.  This Thanksgiving weekend will be a bit quieter than usual, with the absence of the popular Whistler Blackcomb “Turkey Sale”, but some local businesses are having their own version of the sale.  And, unbeknownst to me, fishing in Whistler is a great fall activity https://cutt.ly/dgr4UNE.

Real estate sales continue to be very strong, with 91 sales in September, outpacing August by almost 30% and inventory has dropped by 9%, bringing our sales:active listing ratio up to 24% which moves us into a Sellers Market.  Phase 1 (Nightly rental) properties lead the way with 41% of total sales, Chalets in second place at 26%.  Canadians continue to be our primary source of Buyers at 87%.
